Levi - blue roan TWH Stallion (buy to breed or geld)
Levi (registered name Threat of Blue Delight HJ) is a prebred Tennessee Walking Horse blue roan stallion, born June 26, 2018. Levi can be purchased at stud or purchased to geld. He has no Pusher and no Generator lines - which is hard to find today! Levi has a true, correct, 4 beat Running Walk - he is NOT pacey, he is sturdy built with solid bone structure, has straight legs with about 7-9 inches of over stride when flat walking, has a nice slanted rolling shoulder, short back, is intelligent and easy to train, and is calm with a very sweet and cuddly personality. Here are his bloodlines on Allbreedpredigree.com (click here), as they go farther back than his TWHBEA papers.
Levi is very polite, especially for a stallion. His ground manners have always been expected to be flawless (as you can see in video below). He is also cuddly! He loves to be loved on. Levi loads, stands very well on crossties even with a barn full of mares, is great for the farrier, stands to be tacked up, stands nicely beside you in hand (not trying to pull you or eat), is respectful at feeding time with zero food aggression, is easy to catch in the field, has excellent stall manners, is used to/safe with dogs, is tarp and flag desensitized, can be vacuumed, is trained to speed up/slow down without touch based on your body posture, parks out, knows the drop head/head down cue, turns on the forehand/hindquater, he is not mouthy and does not bite, and does pretty well at not talkiing in hand.
Under saddle, Levi is well behaved. He has been ridden in rings, pasture, and on trails. See the video below. He stands for mounting and dismouting. He has a beautiful 4 beat running walk under saddle and a ground covering flat walk. He was started at 4 years old and ridden extensively through age 7 last summer and fall (hasn’t had much riding since then, as I have been riding other young ones). He hasn’t “lost” anyhthing and will be fine - he “holds” his training very well! No buck, bolt, or rear. He loads on the trailer on or off property flawlessly - he has been trailered with other geldings side-by-side and is fine, and he stands tied to the trailer fine. He has been trail ridden mostly with other geldings. I have only trail ridden him with mares 2 other times and he did well, but they were not in heat, so if you wanted to ride him regularly around in heat mares you would need to work on that. He leads and follows or rides in the middle. I would recommend him for any rider intermediate on up, simply because he is a stud, and is a big mover and could use some more miles on the trails, etc. If you are going to geld him, then he would be fine for advanced confident beginner on up, who would put some more miles on him. I would not call him finished under staddle, but he is close to that. He does need boots when riding (great feet, but tender footed on rocks/heavy gravel).
He is not a big fella, he stands 14.2 hands (his dam was 15.2 and his sire was 15 hands). As you can see in the video, he doesn’t look small at all and is strong and solid bodied. He is up to date on everything. I bred him and raised him from birth. He was allowed to “cover” an older mare last year from some experience as a breeding stud (I have video fo that if you want to see that, too). He hasn’t had a foal yet, as I wanted him solid under saddle for breeding, but we are cutting back our horses at this point.
This boy would be an excellent stud, show ring contender, or trail partner. Contact us today! If you wanted to purchase him to geld him, but do not have a “stallion” facility, he can be purchased first and then gelded here and wait until healed to go to your facility (with a contract).
